Seasonality analysing can make forecasts for future price movements for any price series analyzed. By identifying those price series (stocks etc.) that are poised to go up or down based on seasonal tendencies, you increase your odds for making money.

If for example a stock has strong seasonal tendencies, with most years showing a decline in the 1st quarter and a rally in the 4th quarter, this would result in a strong bearish sentiment in the 1st quarter of the year and a bullish sentiment in the last quarter of the year.

It would be best to trade short in the first quarter and long signals in the fourth. Or, at least, we should refrain from taking counter-seasonal trades in these stocks.
