Alchemy Eye

Alchemy Eye is a program that helps the network
administrator to monitor servers in TCP/IP network.

Alchemy Eye maintains a list of servers that will be checked repetedly.
When server goes down, the program notifies the network administrator
and writes a log file with server monitoring report.

Alchemy Eye can monitor servers in common, "pinging" specified logical or
numeric IP address. The program also can check specific services such as HTTP
or SMTP by opening/closing a socket at the specified address and port, and
Oracle servers by logging in/out to/from the database. Event notifications could
be sent by e-mail, to WinPopup application (Windows 9x), Messenger service
(Windows NT) or to ICQ pager, ordinary pager or mobile phone (SMS) via e-mail
gateway.
